About Research & Social Analysis

Research, social analysis and documentation are all critical to building a strong social justice movement. The most effective advocates and organizers are armed with both the relevant facts and the critical analysis that bear on the issues they fight for.

WCRC approaches social issues principally from the vantage point of how women of color and poor women of color are affected. Our particular interest is in uncovering dynamics of power and privilege related to race, class and gender.

WCRC also has an interest in documenting the practices and experiences of social justice organizing. The struggles for women's rights and social justice will unfold over the long term and future organizers will build on the work we do today. Thus we document, as fully as possible, the goals, rationales, methodologies, successes and challenges of WCRC's work and women of color organizing more broadly.
